A leading environmentalist, adventurer and explorer, Céline Cousteau truly embodies the TreadRight philosophy. As a documentary filmmaker and gifted storyteller, Céline has travelled the world working to help amplify the voices of the amazing individuals who are working to protect ecosystems, wildlife, and people.

In 2015, TreadRight welcomed Céline as our official ambassador, helping us tell the stories of our projects and partners.

Céline’s life of global travel has seen her embark on expeditions to track the grey whale migration from Mexico to Alaska, research shark species in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, and bring the stories of the Amazon Rainforest’s indigenous cultures to our backyards. She has an incredible understanding and deep appreciation for the symbiotic relationship between travel and how that helps one to develop a true appreciation and respect for the planet.

Céline Cousteau is founder and executive director of CauseCentric Productions, creating cause focused multi-media content. Extending this expertise, Céline founded and is president of The Céline Cousteau Film Fellowship launched in 2015 - a nonprofit program whose mission is to empower young aspiring filmmakers, creatives, and activists to inspire change through filmmaking. Céline is a passionate spokesperson for sustainability.

As the daughter of ocean explorer and filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau and granddaughter of the legendary Jacques Yves Cousteau, Céline also has a profound understanding of the importance of legacy and the necessity to experience the world in a way that ensures future generations will have the opportunity to do the same.

Céline and TreadRight will work together to tell the story of TreadRight and our inspiring project partners around the world. Focusing on our Wildlife Initiative and Heritage InitiativeCéline helps us to bring these messages to our audiences, communicating the necessity of stopping wildlife crime and the intrinsic value of empowering local artisans.
