Every day, women and children around the world spend 200 million hours fetching water—often from sources full of harmful contaminants. In total, some 844 million people around the world lack access to clean water. WE is working to change this by improving access to clean water and changing lives for the better.

When communities have access to clean water, girls can attend school, parents can run sustainable farms, and families can break the cycle of poverty. All it takes is $25.

That’s because $25 gives one person clean water for life. To date, WE has provided more than 1,000,000 people with access to clean water and sanitation and this April they are working to deliver clean water for life to 50,000 more, $25 at a time.

WE Walk for Water is encouraging schools, families, and companies to come together and help raise money to deliver access to clean water to communities around the world.

Groups can set-up their own fundraising pages to raise money or awareness for communities that must travel long distances to access clean water by arranging a walk of solidarity to fetch or carry water in your own community.

Every dollar raised is another drop in the bucket!
