UN Global Goals

The 17 United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs) are a call to action for governments, businesses and society to address today’s most pressing sustainable development issues. While recognizing the interconnectedness and importance of achieving all the Global Goals, The Travel Corporation and The TreadRight Foundation identified 11 Global Goals where we can have the most impact through our projects.

NO POVERTY

OTHER AREAS OF IMPACT

The 17 SDGs are a call to action for governments, businesses and society to address today’s most pressing sustainable development issues. All TreadRight projects align with at least one SDG, if not more. Below is a complete list of our TreadRight projects.

no-poverty

TreadRight supports eradicating poverty in all its forms, everywhere. Our projects aim to lift people out of poverty by funding decent job opportunities and giving them access to clean water.

quality-education

TreadRight supports inclusive and equitable quality education that promotes lifelong learning. Our projects support this goal by providing scholarships to disadvantaged youth, helping to create and build safe learning environments, and teaching the value of sustainable development

gender-equality

TreadRight supports gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls. Our projects support this goal by providing economic opportunity to women where there might not otherwise be opportunity and enabling women to pursue education.

clean-water-and-sanitation

TreadRight supports the availability of clean drinking water and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. We also support our local waterways and oceans through our commitment to eliminate unnecessary single-use plastics.

affordable-and-clean-energy

TreadRight supports affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Our projects support this goal by installing solar power to remote areas to ensure a source of reliable energy.

reduced-inequalities

TreadRight supports reduced inequalities within and among countries. Our projects support this goal by providing economic opportunity to minority groups where they might not otherwise be opportunity and enabling these groups to pursue education or job skills training.

sustainable-cities-and-communities

TreadRight supports making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable for all. Our projects support this goal by preserving local cultures and safeguarding natural heritage.

responsible-consumption-and-production

TreadRight projects support sustainable production and consumption by funding local enterprises that strengthen local supply chains. We also reduce our environmental impact by eliminating unnecessary single-use plastics and encouraging guests to choose electronic travel documents.

climate-action

TreadRight supports taking urgent action on climate change and its impacts. Our projects support this goal by building resilience in communities affected by climate change and researching the effects of climate change on our ecosystems.

life-below-water

TreadRight supports the conservation and sustainable use of our oceans, seas and marine resources. Our projects support this goal by researching and protecting underwater ecosystems and reducing marine pollution.

life-on-land

TreadRight projects support life on land by restoring our forests, preserving natural cliff sides, combating animal trafficking and poaching and working towards animal conservation.
